Hi! We're Fidel Friends.

Fidel Friends helps kids fall in love with the Amharic alphabet, the ፊደል (fidel). Our host is Fikir (ፍቅር, which means “love”), the friendly Alphabetter, a stick-figure girl with a big pink bow who introduces one letter family in every episode.

Each episode follows the same playful rhythm that little learners love: meet a letter, hear its sound, meet its family of seven, sing the chant, then play a game. Pauses give your child time to say every sound out loud.

We made it for Ethiopian and Eritrean families everywhere who want their kids to read, sing and laugh in Amharic, and for anyone curious about one of the world's most beautiful writing systems.
